ABOUT OUR CLUB
Jado Kuin Do Harpenden was established in 2013 by Mark Owen-Ward. It has run successfully since then helping children and adults alike develop their confidence, focus, coordination and self-defence. In 2024, Mark's son Laurie stepped up to take over the running of the class.
A typical class includes a range of training including stance work, practice of basic techniques in lines and with partners, walking techniques, patterns and light contact sparring. Sparring takes place with approved protective equipment which students start using soon after starting.
In higher level advanced training, sets and forms become more important with eventual use of a wooden dummy in class and at home for practice.
